Manhood Classics Car show raises funds for The Academy, Selsey

Another great turnout for the annual Summer Show of the local car enthusiasts group, Manhood Classics was held in August on the Sports field of The Academy, Selsey. More than 350 vehicles, from trikes to lorries and everything in between joined in to make a fantastic day for all.
All vehicles were judged by representatives of the shows sponsors and prize cups were awarded to 16 different categories including Best American car, Best Pre War, Best Commercial, Best Motorcycle etc.

Hide AdThe Best in Show cup was awarded by Gavin Tillings of Tillings Autos, Selsey to Julie Lambert with her stunning Simca Aronde.
The show and Manhood Classics have always supported local charities and good causes over the years and this year has been no exception.
Chairman, Les Payne and Events Organiser, Barry Twitchen presented The Academy's Head teacher, Jo Ford, with a cheque for £2000 which is going to be used to allow students to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh scheme at the school in the future.
Manhood Classics have had a challenging year with venue issues but are delighted to have a new 'home' at the Sidlesham memorial Recreation Ground where they meet on the third Sunday morning of every month from 9am to 12noon where all are welcome, free of charge. the next meeting is Sunday, September 15.
