West Sussex Jobcentres Disability Confident Employer Events

With the involvement of Worthing Council, Worthing Jobcentre held the first Disability Confident Employer Event at Worthing Town Hall on Wednesday 5th June. In attendance and supporting the event were the Business Disability Forum and local Worthing MP’s; Beccy Cooper & Tom Rutland.

With over 20 local employers on board, the Jobcentre Partnership and Employment teams, disability employment advisers, and the Council the event was well received and a huge success. Both MP’s spoke and gave their support for Disability Confidence including mention of making Worthing a Disability Confident town. Future events are planned for Chichester followed by Bognor/Littlehampton, please contact your local jobcentre for further updates.

There is an Arun Jobs Fair to be held on Friday 27th June at The Wickbourne Centre, Littlehampton. This event will provide the opportunity to speak to recruiting employers in a variety of sectors, together with support services available in the local area.
