A school spokesperson said the students’ grades, issued on Thursday (August 13), are testament to their ‘hard work, resilience and strength of character’, especially during the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the school, students received a 100 per cent success rate in their results, with 62 per cent achieving an A*-A grade and 80 per cent an A*-B.

Headmistress Louise Higson said: “Given the uncertainties of this last academic year and the disruption to their studies and revision, this cohort of Upper Sixth students deserve these excellent results more than ever.

“The whole year group deserves the highest praise for their positive approach to this highly unusual final year of school.

“I am so happy their hard work, and their teachers, and their resilience in the face of such challenging times have been recognised.

“I am also delighted the vast majority of our students have secured places at their first-choice universities, and will be setting off to a range of destinations to study an exciting and diverse range of subjects.”
