A-Levels: The Regis School celebrates increase in pass rate

SIXTH Form results at The Regis School were greeted with excitement by students and teachers today (Thursday, August 18).

In year 12, there was a four per cent increase in the pass rate and the number of A to C grades.

In Year 13, the best individual performance came from Lisa Bennett with three A grades.

Top grades were also attained by Rachel Burgess, Zoe Gadd, Emma Fullick, Megan Hubbard and Sam Webb.

In Year 12 high grades were achieved by Tamara Easton, Hayley Jewson, Rebecca Lenthall, Jasmine Spencer, and Amelia Sowry.

Head teacher, David Jones, said: “I am very proud of the achievements of these young people, many of whom have excelled not just in these examinations but in their contribution to the school and wider community.

“Our students commence these courses from very different starting points, for instance with English as a second language or no family experience of education post sixteen: in many cases their progress is outstanding.”
