The classroom, which will be an eco-friendly learning space, benefit both the children and the local community, will help the school become an eco-school with more environmental awareness in their curriculum.

They will invite local families and members of the community to eco events and bushcraft or forest school experiences, as well as sharing the space with other schools, pre-school children and friends of the school, which will bring the community together.

Scott Reece, headteacher, said: "We are committed to developing outdoor learning and environmental awareness at Twineham.

"Our families are incredibly supportive and passionate about how children can help save the future of the planet through recycling and sustainable living.

"School budgets are challenging but we don't want children to miss out on opportunities; initiatives such as the Co-op Local Community Fund can really make a difference.

"Every £1 raised will enhance our resources outside to boost our eco-learning programme in a way that can help the local and global environment."
