Attendees enjoyed a ‘fantastic’ evening of entertainment as pupils from six local schools took part in the annual Rotary Schools Music festival.

The event was organised by the Midhurst and Petworth Rotary Club and Midhurst Primary Music Teacher Rhian Parry, who was presented with gifts in praise of her involvement with the event for the last 30 years ahead of her retirement in July.

Among the performances were Midhurst Primary School Choir’s renditions of Make your Own Kind of Music and California Dreamin’.

“None of this would happen without the dedication of the music teachers at all the schools led by Rhian,” he said.

Each participating school received a donation towards their music departments – which was made possible by sponsors MacDonald Oates, Goodale Mardle, Rotherhill Nurseries, Henry Adams, Cowdray, Roger Poat and Partners, Hays Travel, BUPA, Aylings and Fitzcanes.
