Free help for Eastbourne jobseekers hit by pandemic

Free help is being offered to people in Eastbourne whose employment has been affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

The help, which is being offered by employment charity Sussex Community Development Association, is available to people whose furlough may have been extended or if they have been made unemployed.

One person who has been helped by the charity said, “I’m more confident. There seems to be so many more opportunities that I haven’t considered before.”

Another person said, “My support manager has been very understanding of my condition. They have given helpful advice on how to gain employment.”

The charity’s services include support with job searching and finding work, linking candidates with local employers and live vacancies, CV writing, one to one support, application support and interview preparation, in work support, support with money management, health, housing, debt and much more.
