GCSE results: Chailey School congratulates ‘wonderful’ students

In a statement, a spokesman for the school in Mill Lane, South Chailey, said: “Many congratulations to the Chailey School Class of 2020.

“We are hugely proud of the kind, caring and mature young people you have become. You were wonderful role models for our younger students.

“Your work ethic was fantastic and you richly deserve the results that you have achieved.

“In the current climate it feels inappropriate to quote statistics and grades specifically.

“We say goodbye to the entire Class of 2020 and with them the very best for their brilliant futures.”

The spokesman added that the school was robust with its centre assessed grades and confident all of its results ‘are the product of hard work and application by all of our students and staff’.
