Health Week at Birdham C of E Primary
The week focused on giving the children opportunities to learn different skills and tools that can support both their mental and physical health and wellbeing.
It was also able to remind the children that it is important to think and talk about how they are feeling both physically and mentally, and to consider who they might want to turn to if they feel like they are struggling.

Hide AdTeachers led short 10 minute activities ranging from quick and healthy snacks, to Pilates and short workouts to get the heart rate up, in order to demonstrate that you do not need to find large amounts of time to do something positive for your wellbeing.

The pupils were keen to participate and particularly enjoyed the movement breaks, finding that they really gave them a boost of energy as well as a positive feeling.
One commented: “I love dancing, it makes me feel happy!”
