Due to the current situation this was unable to go ahead, so Girlguiding Petworth Division decided to run a camp@home event, from the comfort of our homes and gardens

Corinne Curry, 1st Midhurst Guide leader, said: “We were really proud of how well the girls embraced the event and joined in on the camping and various activities planned.

“Over 25 members took part across the units, and we had positive feedback from parents about how much the girls enjoyed it.”

The girls were challenged to camp at home, whether that be a tent in the garden or a den in the living room – as long as they were not sleeping in their beds.

They were also encouraged to pack a bag, build a (real or virtual) campfire and help cook a meal.
