All the children and staff took part.

Each class, from reception to year six, ran around the school field for 30 minutes doing as many laps as they were able to.

Children and staff wore pink for the event.

Music was playing while the children did their run and the main tune was Chariots of Fire.

Year four teacher Keri Heffernan who organised the event said: “It was amazing that the whole school community came out to raise lots of money for such a worthwhile cause.

“Everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer and it was great to see people raise this money towards much-needed research.”

The total amount raised was £3,058.35.
