June Walters, the school’s headteacher, said: “The children had to design a Christmas card on the theme of a Christmas carol.

“Bridie’s was We Three Kings and Charlie chose The Holly and The Ivy.”

Bridie won the cup she is seen holding in the photograph.

Their prizes were presented by the Duchess of Norfolk at the candlelight carol service in Arundel town square.

Their winning cards were put on display in the Lloyds Bank branch in Arundel.

The competition was for children, aged between eight and 11, in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6.

A first, second and third prize was awarded for each year group.
