University of Chichester teams up with British Heart Foundation

THE University of Chichester has teamed up with the British Heart Foundation (BHF) for a new campaign.

The new campaign will see the BHF provide two clothing banks and two book and music banks in the recycling compounds on each of the university’s two campuses.

In addition, BHF collection bags will be placed in student residences as students depart for the summer.

Julie Paffett, from BHF, said: “This scheme will be a huge help to our shops in the Chichester area and I’d like to encourage both students and staff to get involved and support the new campaign.

“Coronary heart disease is the UK’s single biggest killer, shattering the lives of too many children, parents and grandparents – you can join the fight for every heartbeat by having a clear out.”

Kate Cathie, from the university, said: “This is the perfect opportunity for our students and staff to be both charitable and environmentally friendly with their unwanted items.

“We hope that all our students and staff take advantage of this convenient new campaign by having a clear out and donating their unwanted items.”
