Prince Andrew met Peter Jones and Mrs Legrave, and other dignitaries, and was invited to lunch in the college’s Goodwood Restaurant, prepared by its catering and hospitality students before going on a tour of the college.

In the video Peter Jones chats to students after being presented with a gift by student Anthony Chalmers while fellow student Alex Toy gives his thoughts on the visit.

He told the students they needed to seize the opportunities presented to them to help open doors in the future.

“Take in as much as you can over the next six months, really engage with what the course is trying to give you and use your own skills and deployment to make it worthwhile.”

He said skills in business and entrepreneurship could be learned and it was ‘absolute nonsense’ you were born an entrepreneur and said a recession was a good time to set up a business.
