Bexhill’s vaccine programme continues as more patients receive jabs over the weekend

More patients in Bexhill received their Covid-19 vaccine over the weekend as the programme continues working towards administering at least a single dose to all those in the top four categories by the middle of February.

Last week, Dr Binodh C Bhaskaran, the clinical director of the Bexhill Primary Network carrying out the vaccine programme, said Bexhill was ‘on track’ to administer first jabs to all over 70s, the clinically vulnerable, care home residents and staff and housebound patients by February 15, the government’s target.

Over the weekend, more patients received their first dose at the Sidley Medical Practice where our photographer was invited to see the vaccine rollout.

The Sidley Medical Practice is the venue for vaccinations for patients registered with Collington Surgery, Little Common Surgery, Pebsham Surgery and Sidley Medical Practice.

The centre is administering both the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines, but on Saturday patients were administered the Pfizer jab.
