Coronavirus: Latest figures for confirmed cases and hospital deaths in West Sussex

There have been almost 1,000 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in West Sussex, the latest figures show.

The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in West Sussex now stands at 997, increasing from 974 on Friday, according to Public Health England.

NHS England has released the latest figures for the number of coronavirus deaths at hospitals in West Sussex.

These figures do not include those who have died outside of hospital, such as in care homes or at home.

The latest NHS England figures for trusts serving West Sussex, as of April 26, are as follows:

- Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - 69 deaths

- Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust - 13 deaths

Latest Government figures show there are now 148,377 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the UK, with 20,319 people sadly dying in hospital.
