Coronavirus: here's how you can get help in Barnham

A community network is being set up to help residents in Barnham amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The network, which has been set up by charity consultant D'Arcy Myers, is looking for volunteers to give their support.

Having seen a number of similar groups appear around the country, D'Arcy decided something could be done in Barnham.

"I'm looking for people who could just look after their road and by dropping off leaflets saying 'here I am'. It's also just to be someone who could chat on the phone.

"Particularly with the elderly who will be house bound, depression and loneliness is going to be a big issue.

"The more volunteers the less hard work it is for each individual."
