Coronavirus: West Witterings actress and 'Contagion' star Kate Winslet gives hand-washing advice

The award-winning actress gives advice on how to avoid contracting coronavirus in a YouTube video posted by Columbia Public Health on Friday.

She spoke about her time on the set of Contagion an what she learned as she prepared for her role as an epidemiologist.

"Wash your hands like your life depends on it," she said, "because right now, in particular, it just might. Or the life of someone you love or the life of someone you might not know but is still deserving of your consideration."

Kate then went on to provide a lesson in effective hand-washing. Videos also appeared from fellow Contagion stars such as Laurence Fishburne and Matt Damon.
