Covid-19 vaccinations rolled out at Crowborough care home

A Crowborough care home has become one of the first homes in the area to receive Covid-19 vaccinations for almost everyone living and working in the home.

Residents and team members at Care UK’s Heather View in Beacon Road were given the first dose of the vaccination with the support of Saxonbury House Medical Centre.

One of the first in the queue for the vaccination was 91-year-old Doris Lee, who was excited to receive the vaccine.

“I would like to offer my thanks to the NHS team at Saxonbury House Medical Centre. They were incredibly efficient, friendly, and made sure everything went smoothly, which was much appreciated.

“This is the first step towards getting back to normal, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to kick off the year. We’re looking forward to receiving our second dose of the vaccine as soon as we’re able.”

Heather View provides full-time residential, nursing and dementia care, as well as short-term respite and palliative care.
