Covid in Mid Sussex: latest Government figures on the number of cases, vaccines and deaths in our district

The data released at 4pm on Thursday (January 13) covered the seven days from January 2 to January 8.

It showed 2,171 positive cases during that week, which gives a rate of 1,427 cases per 100,000 of the population.

The figure for the UK was 1,140,999 for the same seven days, a rate of 1,700.9 per 100,000 people.

In Mid Sussex 327,224 Covid vaccinations have been given in total, 93,204 of those have been the booster or third dose jab.

In total, 295 people in our district have died within 28 days of a positive Covid test, since the beginning of the pandemic.
