In the fight against Covid-19, a new law to wear face coverings in all shops comes into effect in England on Friday.

The Beacon’s security and cleaning teams are now all wearing face coverings to put safety first for everyone in the centre, say bosses.

Centre manager Bill Plumridge said, “We would just like to remind all our customers to wear a face covering when they visit the centre and our stores from Friday. This is another way of trying to keep everyone safe as we continue to see a fall in the number of Covid cases and an easing of restrictions.

“I’m delighted that most of our stores have now reopened and look forward to Cineworld opening its doors at the end of this month. I would like to thank everyone for their co-operation with social distancing since we reopened the centre in June. If you haven’t already had a chance to come and see us, then we hope to see you soon.”
