First Bexhill patients get Covid-19 vaccine: in pictures

The Covid-19 vaccine started being rolled out across four Bexhill GP practices yesterday (Tuesday, December 29).

Nikki Stanley, ICC Federation and PCN Manager at Bexhill GP Practices Integrated Community Care Ltd, said around 230 people were vaccinated on the first day. She said: “What an amazing day, full of high spirits and gratefulness. The first clinic went smoothly. Patients said it was like Christmas Day again, the start of life again and getting back to normality.” Today (Wednesday, December 30), the clinic aims to get up to 500 more patients vaccinated. With almost 5,000 residents over the age of 80 in Bexhill, the first stage of vaccines is expected to take several weeks to complete.
