Crawley Town fans have reacted to the latest government statement which has said fans will not return to live sport events in the near future.

Reds fans were hoping to get back to The People's Pension Stadium on October 1, but the plans were placed under review after a rise in coronavirus cases.

The UK's Covid-19 alert level has moved to 4, meaning transmission is "high or rising exponentially".

And on the Crawley Town FC Supporters Group facebook page, Reds fans have posted their views.

Perry Sebastian Watts said: "I think realisictally [sic] there wont be fans this year sadly."

Alex Thomas resplied: "I still think the Euros will be behind closed doors too"

Theresa Barnes was accepting of the news. She posted: "Sad but a necessity Stay Safe."

Jason Paris said: "Madness really when you think about it. So much space in the grounds could easily distance 1500 people in the ground. It's all outside too."
