One case was confirmed at Sir Robert Woodard Academy yesterday evening (October 6), leading head teacher Kieran Scanlon to send the pupil's class home to self-isolate for 14 days.

However, the school has now confirmed all Year 11 pupils will be sent home after more pupils began showing symptoms, albeit without having positive cases of coronavirus confirmed.

Earlier today (October 7) Mr Scanlon said the school was in communication with, and following the guidance of, Public Health England.
