Rother has the lowest Covid-19 infection rate in England

Rother has recorded the lowest rate of Covid-19 infections in England, according to the latest figures, and numbers continue to drop in Hastings.

According to the latest government data, Rother recorded one case of Covid-19 in the seven days to April 11, the latest available.

The latest rate of infection across the district is 1.0 case per 100,000 people. The rate of infection in the week to April 4 was 5.2 cases per 100,000 people.

Hastings has the second-lowest rate of infection in Sussex, behind only Rother.

In the seven days to April 10, Hastings recorded three cases and has a rate of 3.2 cases per 100,000 people. The rate of infection in the week to April 4 was 6.5 cases per 100,000 people.

The weekly rate of infection has dropped in all areas of East Sussex, but has risen slightly in Brighton and Hove.
