"The safety of our staff and customers is of paramount concern, therefore we will be deep cleaning the bar and ensuring that our staff are tested for the virus. We will reopen when we're all in the clear.

"We will be contacting customers using the track and trace details they have provided."

Bat and Bee have become the second bar to close in the past few days due to customers testing positive for the virus.

The Dragon Bar, in George Street, confirmed it had closed on Saturday.

It will reopen when it is safe to do so, the owner confirmed.

Hastings Borough Council praised the owner for its response to the case.
