Tributes paid to Polegate ambulance worker who died of Covid

Julian Letschka worked for the ambulance service for 19 years after starting in 2001 in the vehicle maintenance centre.

Mr Letschka later worked as a technician in Brighton before spending the majority of this career serving Eastbourne and Polegate

SECAmb operating unit manager for Polegate and Hastings Julie-Marie Allsopp-West, said, “Julian will be sorely missed by all those who knew and worked with him at SECAmb.

“He was extremely well thought of by colleagues and gave so much to them and his patients during his 19-year career.

“Our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues at this difficult time.”
