Thursday December 2: Meet at 10.00 am at the Star Inn, Rusper (TQ 206372). Circular walk, some inclines and stiles, along the Sussex Border Path through woods and farmland to Friday Street. Expect mud. Free, just turn-up. No dogs. 4 ¾ miles.

Friday, December 3: Meet at 11am in Cripplegate Lane car park, Southwater Country Park. Flat easy circular walk along bridleways, lanes and the Downs Link. Free, just turn-up. Dogs on leads. 2 ½ miles.

Sunday, December 5: Meet at 10am at Kithurst Hill car park (TQ 070125), off Storrington to Amberley road). Circular walk into the heart of the South Downs besides Welpham Down to Lee Farm up above Storrington. Free, just turn-up. Well behaved dogs welcome. 5 ¼ miles.

Tuesday,December 7: Meet at 10am at the George & Dragon, Dragons Green, near Shipley (TQ 139235). Mostly flat (few steep climbs and some stiles) circular walk on undulating Wealden tracks and through woodland. Free, just turn-up. No dogs. 5 ½ miles.

Wednesday, December 8 : Park/meet in overflow (or far right in main) car park of Camelia Botnar Garden Centre, West Grinstead, at 10.30 am (TQ 191224). Various, mostly flat, (some stiles) 4 to 5 mile circular walks through farmland, woods and along the Downs Link. Free, just turn-up. No dogs.

Walk via (am) northbound up Ferring Rife, cross railway line, Goring Station via twittens etc (visible with magnifying glass on map), via rail underpass to Goring Library/St. Mary’s Church Goring, Goring Hall Hospital, seafront (L) and (pm) seafront, westwards, West Kingston Farm, West Preston Church, seafront return.

Notes: Riverbank (am), seafront, some town walking.
