Drug paraphernalia cleared from Eastbourne town centre car park

A large amount of drug paraphernalia including spoons, wrappers and needles were cleared from a town centre car park last week.

The local Neighbourhood First team cleaned up the site after the litter was reported to them on Friday, April 9.

Operations manager for Your Eastbourne BID Luke Johnson said, ‘We thank the team at Neighbourhood First for their incredibly swift response, following reports made about the discarded drug paraphernalia.

“As part of Operation Confront, Your Eastbourne BID has followed this up further by reporting it as a possible site to the police and by asking our Ambassadors to monitor the area regularly.

A spokesperson for the Eastbourne Borough Council said, “The Neighbourhood First team responded to a report of drug paraphernalia found in an Eastbourne car park on Friday and safely disposed of all the items.”
