The Prince Albert in Old Town is hosting the charity day for Craig Steadman, who was recently told the devastating news.

Sue Lowe is organising the event on Sunday, February 23, and is calling for anyone who can help with donations or entertainment to get in contact.

She said, “Everyone loves him. Seeing the outpouring for him, very rarely have I seen that for somebody.”

Family and friends have already rallied around Craig, a taxi driver, to raise money for him to make memories with his young son Reagan, two, in the precious time he has left.

To date a Go Fund Me crowdfunding page has raised almost £6,000 for the 37-year-old.

Sue said, “It proves how much it touches people. He’s a young lad, nobody’s ever had a bad word to say about him.

“I have never known someone so loved.”

The event at the Prince Albert will start from about 2pm and will include live music and entertainment.

Sue hopes there will be a raffle and even an auction and is calling on people to donate items or services.

She is also searching for an entertainment act – such as a comedian, drag queen or magician.

If you think that could be you contact the Prince Albert and ask for Sue, or contact this newspaper.
