Patients had to be checked for pre-existing signs of Covid-19 and general marshalling was required to keep the flow at a manageable level – a job made harder by the downpour on the first day of vaccinations.

Help was also required with wiping seats and waiting areas.

Each helper was issued with a disposable mask and gloves and a visor which had to be cleaned after each session.
