Angelo Wesley Salza was found collapsed at the home he shared with his partner Georgia Smith in Brookside, Piddinghoe, on the morning of July 14 last year.

An inquest was held into the hod carrier’s death at Eastbourne Town Hall on Thursday (January 21).

The inquest heard Mr Salza, a father of three, had been suffering from bronchopneumonia and some tablets he had taken had caused fatal results.

Mr Salza’s family said he was a lovely warm and charming man who had many friends and was extremely popular.

Recording a conclusion that Mr Salza’s death was drug related, East Sussex coroner James Healy Pratt said, “This young man was suffering with bronchopneumonia and unfortunately he had a fatal reaction to drugs which suppressed his respiratory system.”
