Aldwick parish decision ensures summer fun will carry on

PLAYTIME continues for Aldwick's youngsters until the end of this month.

The summer holiday fun for the five to 16 year olds is carrying on at West Park and Avisford Park thanks to Aldwick Parish Council.

It has paid some £3,000 to ensure the Play Rangers stage ten free sessions of enjoyment a week in all at each of the open-air sites.

Council chairman Cllr Dr Tony Poland said: “The Play Rangers’ visits are a very good idea.

“During the long summer holiday, parents often don’t know what to do with their children.

“They can just turn up to the Play Rangers because they are absolutely free.”

The fun includes foam parties, walking the plank, table tennis and obstacle courses. Some 40-50 children have been joining in each time.

The Play Rangers are visiting West Park from 10.30am-12.30pm on August 21, 22, 28 and 29. They are at Avisford Park from 2pm-4pm on the same days.
