Brass band kicks off season on The Stade

As one of the final Stade Saturdays performances of 2012 saw the Expedient Brass Band playing deep into the dark October night it is fitting that they kick off the 2013 programme.

On Saturday, May 11, at 7.30pm, the trad jazz boys will be taking to The Stade, for a free gig.

They have been playing jazz in the style of the New Orleans parade bands throughout the south east for more than 50 years.

Look out for their arrival on the miniature railway.

As fresh as when they formed in 1958, these are the original ‘distant horns of summer’.
