Calling all young performers

This year’s Summer Youth Project at the White Rock Theatre is the smash hit musical Footloose, and young dancers, singer and actors are wanted.

Auditions will take place on Sunday, April 14, and the project will run from August 5 to 17.

The project offers opportunities for nine- to 19-year-olds to tread the boards. In just two weeks participants will work with a highly-skilled professional creative team to learning, rehearsing, and performing.

Footloose is set in the small town of Bomont where City boy, Ren breaks every taboo and brings dance back to the heart of a town held back by the memory of a tragedy.

Auditions on April 14 will be held at the theatre and registration is from 9am with company auditions starting at 9.30am.

Principal auditions will then be held from 2.30pm for all those over 12 who wish to audition for a main part.
