Courses and lectures at West Dean

SERIOUS gardeners and keen amateurs will be spoilt for choice in an impressive line-up of winter gardening courses and lectures at West Dean led by some of the top names in gardening and horticulture.

Dr Luke Dixon, the urban beekeeper who keeps bees for Kensington Palace and the Natural History Museum, will teach a new course at West Dean starting Tuesday, November 13, which will be a good grounding for anyone keen to take up beekeeping.

Other practical gardening courses such as how to build wreaths will also be on offer later in the year.
