East meets West at exhibition
Preview: East meets West, Imagen Gallery, 20 Claremont. September 8 to 23 (except Wednesdays), 9.30am to 5.30pm. Free.
From the East are exquisite Indian Mughal miniatures on silk, camel bone and paper. These are original paintings of scenes largely from Maharajahs’ palaces around India.
From the West is local artist Nigel Plumb who is showing a selection of his colourful monoprints, collagraphs and stencils based on natural forms.
This is the first year that the gallery has participated in the Coastal Currents festival.
