This weekend (January 15 and 16) is looking mainly dry and we’ve got some ideas to keep the family busy.
From discovering a new play area, a theatre performance, good old-fashioned winter walks and some indoor activities too, there is plenty to keep the children entertained.
There are also activities for all budgets, if you are keeping an eye on the pennies this January.

Eastbourne Pier: A walk along the seafront could be rewarded with a trip to the arcades. Eastbourne has a large amount on 2p machines, so going along the pier with kids is fairly affordable.

Helen Gardens: A real gem at the top of Eastbourne Seafront. Free parking is available in the area and Helen Gardens has a wide open grass area with unspoilt sea views. There is a hidden play park in the corner and it's just metres away from the foot of the Downs, if you fancy a hike with the family. Holywell beach is only just down the steps too.
