Her new book The Woman I Want to Be is released on October 19, and she says it is about getting you thinking about your personal development plan.

Kiran, 42, from St Leonards on Sea explains that what led her to where she is today was being runner-up for Women’s Empowering Awards in 2012 for her work inspiring and helping single mums.

She said: “I used to run a local single parent support group through Gingerbread, I used to coach without knowing what coaching even was. In fact, it was in 2015 I became a certified life coach.

“It has been a rollercoaster of a ride, but that’s life for you and I am grateful for every lesson and every blessing that has come my way. This journey to self-discovery has been life-changing, I’ve found myself and truth to be told, there’s no better thing than finding your way back to yourself. While being on this journey and figuring myself out, I’ve been blessed to help, inspire, empower, mentor, guide and coach others. I turned my mess into my message.”

Design the Lifestyle YOU Desire launched back in 2015 as coaching practice, but lately has become a lifestyle blog for women in their 40s.

Becoming an entrepreneur and working for herself was the best opition for Kiran and her daughter.

"Even though I knew the money won’t be all that in the beginning, but it was a sacrifice I was willing to make. When I look back now, at my entrepreneurial journey, it is the best decision I’ve ever made."

Kiran also launched My Unique Home in 2009 as a ‘substitute’ to her interior design practice.

She said: “I am passionate about creating beautiful, healthy and happy homes and know how big of an impact our homes have on our overall wellbeing.

“My daughter was very young at that time, and I remember dragging her with me across London for my client meetings, with time, I realised it wasn’t doable, so I launched My Unique Home to continue my passion for interior design, offering online design service instead of in-person and running interior design classes teaching people how to decorate their own homes at the local arts centre.”

Kiran’s advice for anyone who feels stuck at a cross roads is:

“First and foremost, get out of your head. Write everything down, then read through it. If you’ve got limiting and negative beliefs, ask yourself if they’re actually your own thoughts about yourself or the thoughts of other people’s opinions imposed n you over the years.

“If you’re overwhelmed with too much to do, prioritise. Do you really need to all those things? Do they matter? Are they meaningful? Do you want to do them or do they feel like ‘chores’? Do the things that will have the biggest impact on your life.

“If you have too many ends that needs to be met, maybe have fewer ends? Simplify your life, your home, your gadgets, your closet and so on – create space for what truly matters to you. The truth is; When we intentionally create space in our lives, we can intentionally choose what to fill it with.

“Create a vision board. What does your dream life look like? What does your ideal day look like? How can you implement your dream life and ideal day into your current life. What can you do today that will make you happy, feel alive and bring you joy?”
