Harry Ramsden’s has long been a name synonymous with Fish & Chips, known for a traditional approach and using high quality, sustainable ingredients. Ahead of the summer months they have updated their menu to add new, exciting options to appeal to younger tastes and trends, with their core ethos ever focused on serving the perfect Fish & Chips.
Now’s you can beat the cost-of-living crisis with a special ‘kids eat free’ offer for July.
In 1931, Harry Ramsden closed the doors of his humble first Fish & Chip shop, a small wooden hut in Guiseley, and opened the doors to his first restaurant. He had long admired the lavish and luxurious style of some of London’s most prestigious restaurants and was inspired to bring the glamour and excitement home to Yorkshire. His first restaurant did just that. Complete with oak panelling and chandeliers, the restaurant was an instant hit; a visit to Harry Ramsden’s was more than just a meal out, it was an experience not to be missed.
The heritage of the brand inspires the ethos of today’s owners. Having just completed an extensive restoration of their flagship Bournemouth restaurant, inspired by the original Guiseley restaurant, Harry Ramsden’s are looking to the future, by combining the very best of tradition and modernity to establish a new, luxurious vision of Fish & Chips.
James Low, Founder and CEO of Deep Blue Restaurants, new owners of Harry Ramsden’s, says “the refurbishment of the Bournemouth restaurant is the most exciting project of its kind that I have ever been involved in and I have no doubt that our customers will love it. The good news is, Bournemouth is just the first of Harry’s iconic coastal sites to be refurbished and we can’t wait to get started on the others”
A recent poll showed that 75% of British people believe that Fish & Chips are the greatest British Institution! This came as no surprise to Harry Ramsden’s, who believe that Fish & Chips are an integral part of the British sea-side experience, helping to bring family and friends together and create memories.
