New stylish pop-up cocktail bar in BN1

A new cocktail bar has opened in Brighton.

The pop-up version of L’Atelier du Vin’s Speakeasy cocktail bar is located in the basement of Una Hotel at 55 Regency Square.

It is the L’Atelier du Vin group’s fourth venture in Brighton and Hove, following bars in St George’s Place and Dyke Road, and the recently opened wine shop and bar in Cases and Curds & Whey in Western Road.

The new venue is inspired by Harry’s bar in Venice and promises a classic prohibition cocktails list.

They have researched cocktail-making techniques of the prohibition era to ensure their offerings are made as close to as they originally intended, and wherever possible using glassware that is sympathetic to the 1920-30s American chic.

The same classic style is reflected in the bar’s ambience, with soft furnishings and coffee tables, photographs and frames, and carefully selected music from the period.
