FREE ENTRY: Pallant House Gallery opens its doors for free

FAMILIES will be able to take advantage of some of the country's best collections of modern British art when Pallant House Gallery drops its admission charge.

The gallery will be reducing its entry price for the day on Saturday, September 3.

The open day will offer visitors the opportunity to enjoy the impressive permanent collections which include works by Peter Blake, Lucian Freud, Pablo Picasso and Walter Sickert without paying a penny, as well as a range of family-friendly activities in aid of Pallant House Gallery’s innovative community programme.

Fundraising events include face-painting, portraits and badge making in the studio as well as a grand summer raffle.

Tickets are just £1 and provide the chance to win two luxurious prizes from De’Longhi: a PrimaDonna coffee machine and a Kenwood Chef Titanium.

The raffle will be drawn at 4pm by Marc Steene, head of learning at Pallant House Gallery and Nigel Wainwright, managing director of De’ Longhi UK.

Other free activities on Saturday include a free focus on the collection talk at 2pm and free De’Longhi coffee tasting in the Galleria.
