Growers hope to harvest trophies at East Preston flower show

GARDENERS who have struggled through the coldest March for decades will be harvesting their early crops and blooms for the East Preston and Kingston Horticultural Society spring show on Saturday (April 13).

There will be 35 flower classes, five for fruit and vegetables, and 14 for cookery, at the Conservative Hall, Sea Road, East Preston.

The show opens at 2pm and admission is 50p, including tea/coffee and biscuits.

There will also be a raffle and stalls selling plants and cakes.
