The charity wishing well at Haskins Garden Centre at Roundstone had been dedicated to help raise funds for the Littlehampton-based Jamie’s Wish Trust.

Jamie Buckland was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumour in December, 2003, and he bravely fought it for three and a half years. He died in June, 2007, aged 19.

The trust was set up in his memory by family and friends to raise funds in order to grant wishes to children and young people with a serious illness.

Jamie’s’ mother Tracy Terry said she was delighted the garden centre has offered the charity the chance to fund-raise.

Mary Corcoran, assistant general manager at Haskins, said the centre would also be made available for any fund-raising events that Jamie’s Wish would like to arrange.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to support the Jamie’s Wish team in their bid to help children and young people, and their families, by also providing a grant in order to ease their financial situation during a stressful time,” she said.

Anyone wishing to support the charity can visit www.jamieswish.co.uk for information.
