FAIR: The annual Hotham Park Country Fair is on August 6th and 7th from 11am - 5pm both days with free entry. The bandstand will be the hub for music and entertainment across the weekend. The show ground will host attractions and the Mary McFee pavilion will be the home of Punch and Judy with the talented “ Crazy Hazee”. Over 60 arts and crafts stalls, wagon rides, meet the alpacas, bouncy castles and lots more for the all ages and interests.

FILM: Exhibition, talk & film screening. The Yapton & Ford Local History Group, in conjunction with the IWM and Somme100Film, are commemorating the centenary of the Battle of the Somme with two screenings of the original film taken and released in 1916. There will be supporting talks given by Philip Robinson, Local & Military historian as well as an exhibition. This will take place in the Yapton & Ford village hall between midday and 6.30pm. The talks and exhibition are free but there is a charge of £1 per ticket for the film. Places are limited for the screenings so book early to save disappointment. It will be led by Doris Norton, the Secretary of the Chichester Walls Trust. Please meet at the Cathedral Bell Tower at 2pm. The walk will finish at about 3.30pm. This Walk takes place on the first Sunday of every month. Donations to the work of the Walls Trust are welcome. WALK: Local history walk, 6pm. This is the last opportunity in 2016 to join Dr Margaret Rogers on her guided walk around southern Emsworth and to learn some of the history of the area.
