Opera group pushes the boat out to bring classic to life

The Gondoliers, Battle Light Opera Group, Battle Memorial Hall, November 10-12, 7.30pm and 2.30pm (Saturday only)

Rehearsals are already well-underway for the group’s next much-anticipated production, which will be directed by Pat Smith with Michael Jarrett as musical director.

Sharon Gordon will play the part of The Duchess with Peter Smith as The Duke.

Their daughter Casilda will be played by Imogen Willetts, whilst Neil Bannock will take on the role of Luiz.

Keren Keeler-Moore returns as Gianetta with Charlotte Collins as Tessa, whilst the two main Gondoliers will be played by Malcolm Torrance as Marco and Adrian Collins as Guiseppe.

Richard Moore rounds up the main cast, taking on the role of Don Alhambra.

Tickets will be on sale from Monday September 26, costing £9 for the Thursday evening and Saturday matinee, £11 for Friday and Saturday evenings.

Child tickets will cost £5 for Thursday evening and Saturday matinee only.

There will be a drinks bar for the evening performances, with tea or coffee and biscuits included at the Saturday matinee.
