M&S Shoreham-by-Sea is now the third M&S store to launch the rapid charging hub for electric cars, BP Pulse. The opening will allow for customers to charge their cars whilst shopping, as well as aiding M&S in their Plan A roadmap to becoming a net zero business by 2040.

BP Pulse electric charging hub is now open at M&S Shoreham-by-Sea store, offering a convenient one stop shop and charge for electric vehicle shoppers in West Sussex.

The charging hub brings together eight individual EV charging bays – two ultra-fast 150kW and six rapid 50kW - allowing visitors to charge while they shop for their M&S favourites.

The launch is the third of a number of hubs to be rolled out to M&S stores across the UK. M&S and bp first teamed up in 2005 when the first M&S Food store opened at a bp retail site. bp pulse charging bays are now available at over 150 bp retail sites - with an M&S convenience store.

In line with its Plan A commitment, M&S is targeting becoming a net zero business across its value chain and operations by 2040.
