Chichester Country Music Club is offering Irish people a taste of home and a chance celebrate their special day, albeit a little early, at The Venue on Tuesday, March 14 when a top Irish Showband, featuring the Brendan Shine, will be playing in concert

Organiser Tony Bleach said: “Every year since 1994, this band has opened the Chichester Country Music Club’s annual series of Irish concerts in March and the numbers have grown each year, with a record 400 people attending in 2011.

“Brendan Shine, who plays melodeon and sings a wide range of popular Irish songs, is very popular in Ireland and has many videos and CDs to his credit. He plays all the top venues there and makes occasional tours to the UK and we are lucky that he has been able to fit us in to his dates.

“His repertoire includes classics such as Galway Bay, Danny Boy and Old Flames and the evening develops in to a good sing-a-long. The concert starts at 7.30 pm and tickets at £10 can be obtained by ringing 01243 527439.”
