The revelatory chaos of painting at new show

Award-winning Hastings-based artist Chris Milton, opens his exhibition of new abstract paintings at the blackShed gallery on Saturday, May 11.

His paintings are an exploration of emotional voids and the dualities of mortality and immortality.

Chris Milton’s primary practice is drawing and was recently awarded the Duscerning Eye ING Banking drawing prize after having been spotted in the accompanying show at the prestigious London Mall Galleries.

He is a former lecturer at the Chelsea School of Art and the Royal College of Art, and renowned for his fluid and provocative drawings. Some of these will also be shown.

Admission is free, and the gallery is at Russet Farm, Robertsbridge, and open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
