Two exhibitions at arts forum

Two new exhibitions are at Hastings Arts Forum, Marina, St Leonards, until April 23.

In AF1 will be A search for the real by Moram.

Moram is an abstract painter who lives and works in St. Leonards. He paints in oils with a strong and colourful improvisational technique reminiscent of the Abstract expressionists.

The title is taken from an essay by Hans Hoffmann of the same name.

All proceeds from this exhibition after gallery costs will be donated to UNICEF.

In AF2 will be work by Armenian artist Ponchi (Armen Proyan).

He started his studies in painting at the age of 12. After attending the Academy of Fine Arts in Yerevan he moved to Greece where his work was exhibited in many galleries.

From 2000 to 2003, Ponchi taught at the Intergraphics Art College in Greece.

In 2009, after 12 years of absence, Ponchi moved back to Armenia.

The private view is tonight (Friday, April 12) from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
